A 2.3-tonne breaker was stolen from South Wales and reported to the CanTrack Investigations Unit shortly after.
Our Investigators teamed up with local police to share intelligence that took them to a dock, known for thefts of this type. Our Investigator used local homing beacon technology to pinpoint the stolen attachment to the back of an unlocked Ford Transit van (not reported stolen). Inside the van, the attachment was positively identified and false number plates were discovered that were (likely) about to be used on the van to transport the attachment to a different location.
Both the van and the breaker were recovered by the police for forensic investigation before being released back to the rightful owners.
