We received a call in the morning from a concerned customer after their JCB mini-excavator went missing overnight.
Our in-house Investigations Unit remotely tracked the excavator to woodland in Yorkshire. The CanTrack Investigations Unit set off immediately to locate the machine.
Upon arriving at the site of the machine, our Investigator struggled through harsh woodland, terrain, weather and weeds to visually identify and secure the excavator. It’s not clear how the unit was dropped off in the woodland so it wasn’t immediately clear how to extract it.
Regardless, the customer was contacted and with their help, the delighted customer managed to remove the machine (carefully) from the jungle undergrowth.
Theives still think that hiding stolen machines will stop them being recovered.
