A multi-drop Ford Transit van was stolen in Lincolnshire during a delivery driver round as the keys were left in the ignition.
We remotely tracked the stolen van to a residential area several miles away from the theft site and dispatched a CanTrack Investigator to secure the van. On arriving at the scene, the van was located and discovered to be on false plates.
This van was potentially stolen by an opportunist for the contents of the van as no effort was made to search for tracking units.
We secured the van, notifying the local police and the customer who recovered the van shortly after.
