We received a call early in the morning regarding a hire customer’s Genie telehandler stolen from Yorkshire. As with all thefts, we remotely monitored the machine and located it to woodland (again) close to the theft site.
Once again, it seems as if thieves are thinking that placing machinery in woodland will stop us from finding it. We don’t need to be able to see the machine to be able to track and locate it. Our technology means we can trace your stolen items remotely, then switch technologies to pinpoint the exact location when our Investigations Unit are close.
Our Investigator located the stolen telehandler whilst also discovering another hidden telehandler that was obviously also stolen. We informed our customer of the successful secure of their machine and requested recovery. As we notified the other hire company regarding the second telehandler in the woods, it became apparent that they were unaware of the theft of their machine. We recovered both machines to their respective delighted owners.
