Site dumper reported stolen from the Hertfordshire area. We remotely tracked the dumper to a gated area several miles from the theft site. A CanTrack Investigator was on the scene within 15 minutes but discovered a Ford Transit van in the place of where the dumper was located.
Herts Rural Police assisted with access to the site and sure enough, the dumper was located in the back of the van. The Police recovered both the van and the Dumper for forensics before being released back to the happy owner.
Thieves will try to hide stolen items in vans as they think it’s hidden from plain sight and blocked from traditional tracking technologies.
