We received an early call to notify us of a Mercedes Sprinter theft from outside the home of the driver in the West Midlands. Our Investigations unit remotely traced the stolen vehicle to a residential road several miles away from the theft location so we dispatched a local CanTrack Investigator to locate the van.
On arrival in the area, our Investigator used our homing beacon technology to quickly locate and secure the vehicle. The van was on false plates with the locks and ignition barrel showing signs of lock pick usage.
Ironically, the thief was bizarrely concerned with the potential re-theft of the van so added a steering-wheel lock!
The owners of the van were contacted and promptly arrived at the scene to recover the van.
