Thieves obviously hoping that with branding removed the Sprinter van would be harder to find! Not an issue for CanTrack.
Utilising the unique tracking technology within the CanTrack Protect, our Investigators were led to a sign-writing warehouse. Decal removal had commenced, the van was now on false plates. With the CanTrack Protect onboard, our Investigators were able to conclusively confirm our customer’s stolen van.
A ‘Turbodecoder’ lock-pick had been used to break into the van, then a different duplicate ‘chrome edged key’ (not a Mercedes-issued key), that was still jammed into the ignition, had been used to drive it away. These thieves were in possession of many devices designed to facilitate this theft. With CanTrack Protect on the vehicle, our investigators are always one step ahead.
