The Easter break tends to slow most businesses down, but traditionally is a time of high vehicle and plant theft. However, this Easter was the quietest since 2013, and only a few thefts have been reported over the course of the week. Our Investigations Unit has welcomed a rare chance to take a breath, although as I write this on Friday morning, we have just stopped a foreign registered lorry heading for the ports with a JCB excavator in the back.
